Underground club — Y

For my exam project I created a fictive underground club called Y.

I wanted to combine some of my biggest interests for this project.
I have for many years enjoyed my creative self at clubs by catching moments in black and white photography. When at a underground club some of the first things you will notice is that a camera in the crowd most likely are not appreciated by the visitors — so I have spent a lot of time earning trust.

Why I wanted to do this project so badly is because the beauty of the scene deserves to be documented, but responsibly and with the visitors privacy in mind. Every person that I captured had to be unknown in the picture, unless I knew they would be ok to be seen by the public.
When marketing something that’s part secret and part illegally you have to think twice about everything.

I created:
A film, captured during some of the last parties before the pandemic.
Photographs that’s partly new for the project but also goodies from past.
A website that holds a gallery with the photographs, a page for registration and for viewing upcoming and past events.
